Taste on Melrose Expands Its Footprint, Bringing the Indoors Out
A WeHo favorite, Taste on Melrose has enhanced its cozy eatery by adding the sleek Atrium and Courtyard, perfect for stargazing.
The expansion also includes an additional kitchen and bar, doubling the dining space, and a separate entrance that creates the perfect locale for a private event.
The Atrium boasts an open skylight, rich walnut tables and chairs, and a sleek bar that seats 25. Signature design elements include one-of-a-kind artwork, such as Paul Robinson’s Los Angeles skyline wallpaper, an art piece featuring a collage of photograph transparencies layered by hand, and a macramé art installation, which spotlights a rope background with series of intricate knots layered over the piece.
The Courtyard, meanwhile, features banquette and stand-alone seating for 20, a living wall of vines, a fire element, strung twinkle lights, and a Swan Hill olive tree serving as the focal point.
As always, the menu continues to feature American comfort food, with signature items such as Cast Iron Roasted Chicken with roasted cauliflower, fingerling potatoes and black kale; a Kobe Beef Burger with onion jam, organic arugula, and tomato, on a toasted brioche bun; and Rigatoni Bolognese with a slow-cooked, rich red meat sauce, Parmigiano, and Pecorino Romano.
With a seasonal selection of desserts like Chocolate Hazelnut Bread Pudding with hazelnut Anglaise, toasted hazelnuts and vanilla gelato; and Brown Butter Pear Cake with pear consommé and vanilla gelato, we can’t wait to get a taste of this updated gem on Melrose.
