Bruxie Puts a Gourmet Twist on a Breakfast Classic

Whoever said waffles were only for breakfast? Always seeking to break the traditional waffle mold, Bruxie serves up inventive iterations of this best-loved classic (enjoyable at any time of the day), with its new Santa Monica locale continuing the tradition.

Step inside this Third Street Promenade gem and its warm industrial interior instantly welcomes you. Think dusted brick walls and bright pops of yellow, crimson and black that pay homage to Belgium, the birthplace of the Belgian Waffle. Its intimate patio, meanwhile, invites casual alfresco dining.

Whether stopping in for breakfast, lunch or a casual dinner, Bruxie’s signature sandwiches—all enfolded within two light, fluffy, airy waffles crisped to golden perfection—are sure to satisfy. If craving something sweet, the decadent Seasonal Crème Brulee, Nutella & Banana served with sweet cream is an absolute must-try, as is the classic Liege Waffle, baked with Belgian-pearl and served plain or filled with chocolate.

If looking for something on the savory side, the Stacked Hot Pastrami & Gruyere and Roasted Cremini Mushroom strike a perfect balance between comfort and gourmet fare. They also serve up a staggering selection of signature salads, breakfast favorites and real Wisconsin frozen custards.

When it comes to waffles, Bruxie has got it pressed to perfection.
