9621 Arby Drive a Modern Beverly Hills Home Takes Living Au Naturel to the Next Level

Much like the trendy Silver Lake nightclub he had a hand in creating, Tenants of the Trees—which boasts a sunroom, tree-canopied patio and outdoor movie theater—architectural home developer Jason Lev’s newest residential masterpiece in Beverly Hills is completely at one with nature, and a cool place to hang out.

Situated at 9621 Arby Drive—on a cul-de-sac atop the winding canyon streets of Beverly Crest—Lev’s transformation of the home was realized with help from award-winning L.A. architecture firm SPACE International and design team Ground Up LA, with landscape design by Kathleen Ferguson.

The newly renovated and expanded living environment is now on the market for $7.395 million, listed by Brian Courville and J.B. Fung of John Aaroe Group.

Creating the welcoming, au naturel feel at the residence is a bevy of rooms that connect to outdoor environs via sliding walls of glass and an interior courtyard with an infinity pool and spa flanked by rolling hills and a lush green yard.

Additional highlights include numerous skylights throughout, plentiful outdoor spaces for dining and relaxing, and even a soothing soaking tub that makes it seem like one is bathing right next to a forested enclave.

Among the standout additions are elevated ceilings with clerestory skylights to offer abundant natural light and expansive canyon vistas, as well as a new guest wing and extended wood terrace aside the pool, and a wealth of luxurious natural materials. Think white oak plank flooring; custom milled interior paneling and cabinetry crafted of fine-grained Machiche wood; a fireplace composed of dark hematite and soft gray honed basaltina stone; Italian Pico porcelain; Bisazza wall mosaics; and Ann Sacks pool tile.

But that’s not all. The streamlined Miele kitchen features Boffi cabinetry, a wine refrigerator, and a built in espresso machine, while the sumptuous master bath highlights the aforementioned freestanding Agape Spoon tub. The home also is fully automated via a Control4 smart-home system.

“The residence showcases the best L.A. has to offer, only minutes from Beverly Hills, all while offering expressive Modernist architecture, a private courtyard experience and the finest in finishes, set against a beautiful natural landscape,” says Brian Courville.

The end result? Refined ambiance meets modern technology in an urban oasis.
