The Need-to-know Beachside Cake Bakeshop

After more than 20 years in the food industry as a cook, pastry chef, manager and GM, Laura Mandracchia decided to open her own shop: Cake Bakeshop, to be exact.

Locals in north Manhattan Beach rejoiced when she opened the doors to her cozy little bakery on the corner of 33rd and Highland in 2011, and rave reviews have kept her busy ever since.

If the scent of warm scones or fresh blueberry doughnut muffins doesn’t draw you in, their mouthwatering Instagram page is sure to entice you to order something unique for your next special occasion.

From morning goodies, pies, cookies, and all things cake, these artisanal treats are small batch and made with love. Mandracchia has a knack for infusing art and color into her baked goods too, creating stunning dessert tables or showstopping cakes for private events.

Small-town customer service, great prices and winning recipes guarantee South Bay residents will be eating cake here for years to come.
