According to RisMedia, members of the real estate industry are responding to the passage of the Senate tax plan, which chiefly includes a 20 percent corporate tax rate—down from 35 percent—and reduced rates for families and individuals over the next seven years. The development follows the House passage of its own plan in November.

12 States Hit Price Peaks; National Median Sales Price Up 38% in Past 5 Years

According to Black Knight Financial Services Home Price Index (HPI), home price gains set another new record in June 2017, rising 0.9% from Many and 6.2% year-over-year. Moving into July, CoreLogic recently reported that home prices measured by HPI were up 6.7% on an annual basis and increased 0.9% from June.

Home Prices Hit Another All-time High in June, Increasing 5.8% Year-over-year

According to the most recent Case-Shiller Home Price Index, home prices hit another all-time high in June, increasing 5.8% year-over-year. The index, which covers all nine U.S. census divisions, established a new peak for the seventh consecutive month. Although home prices were generally expected to begin cooling by now, don’t bet on a home price reversal just yet. The National Index reached a new high of 192.60, up from last month’s peak high of 190.61 and Los Angeles had the highest index reading at 263.57.

Home Prices Increase in 48 States in 2nd Quarter 2017

US home prices saw a 1.7% increase in Q2 2017, rising 6.6% from the previous year, according to FHFA’s House Price Index. New home sales are climbing, but low inventory has driven prices up for six years.

According to a recently released report by CoreLogic, a third of home sales in March were all-cash transactions, which was a sharp decrease of 2.8% from February.
