White Brick Traditional Home in Pacific Palisades Asks $18M [Off Market]

A magnificent home in a prestigious neighborhood, this property now on the market in Pacific Palisades exemplifies fine quality and craftsmanship.

Former HBO and Starz executive Chris Albrecht purchased this stately white brick traditional home in Pacific Palisades’ coveted Riviera community in late 2017 with his wife, Tina Trahan. At the time the couple paid $16 million for the property, which was still being built by Los Angeles’ Fountainhead Construction; they are now selling the completed six-bedroom, nine-bath residence for $18 million.

The buyer of 1580 Sorrento Drive—which is just south of Sunset, and adjacent to the Riviera Country Club and Golf Course—will gain a swath of luxe amenities ranging from a gym and sauna to a decked-out game room sporting a walk-in bar and wine cellar. Not to mention a secluded 18,463-square-foot lot looking like it just stepped out of the Hamptons, with a flat, grassy backyard and a guest house that opens to a pergola with a built-in barbecue and shimmering pool flanked by resort-style lounge chairs.

Upping the prestige factor at the gated compound is the main house offering up 10,000-plus square feet of modern yet inviting living space on three levels, replete with designer lighting, hardwood flooring, soaring ceilings, and plentiful windows to allow for an abundance of natural light.

“This sophisticated estate presents a truly elevated lifestyle experience,” says listing agent Santiago Arana of The Agency. “It is very rare that a property like this becomes available.”

All the more so for the elevator that services all levels. Other highlights include a professional chef’s kitchen outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, a butler’s pantry, and large eat-in island that opens to a spacious family room, which leads via floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors to a tempting outdoor seating area.

Also standing out is a formal living room with marble fireplace, custom paneled movie theater with seating for 15, and a sumptuous upstairs master suite featuring a showroom-style closet that one has to see to believe (complete with a wealth of built-ins ideal for housing a good-sized collection of shoes and handbags), and an extravagant spa-like bath boasting a soaking tub and sizeable walk-in shower. The denouement? A garage with space for three autos, of course.
