Step Aboard Asani a Masterpiece On The Water, Crafted By Bergman Design House Along With Renowned Italian Yachting Company Benetti
“Design is about shaping moments that change people for the better.”
The mantra of London-based studio Bergman Design House, co-founded and led by Marie Soliman and Albin Berglund, doesn’t apply solely to homes and hospitality projects. Considered the ultimate luxury, superyachts are also crafted with this philosophy in mind.
The newest example is Asani, the result of a collaboration between Bergman Design House and renowned Italian shipyard Benetti. Priced around $35 million, the private, nearly 164-foot yacht has been crafted for a lucky owner who wanted clean and splendid interiors with an inviting and Zen-like atmosphere.
Celebrating both connection and comfort through this jewel on the sea that blends thoughtful design and engineering, the Bergman Design House team worked on connecting the aesthetic of the vessel with the surroundings through every detail. Soft fabric and polished woods combine with buttery leather and ceramics, providing depth. Calacatta marble dresses the main suite’s private bathroom while the Jallu Ebénistes games table by Nusom, with its elegant straw marquetry, adorns the upper deck.
“Here, craftsmanship and conviviality intertwine, creating an experience that resonates with elegance and leisure,” says Marie Soliman.

Made of whites, tans and mahoganies, the neutral palette provides the perfect backdrop for a selection of bespoke furniture and accessories, including a Mattia Bonetti coffee table by David Gill Gallery, and artworks commissioned to reflect the themes of nature and the ocean by Ula Saniawa of Unit 89, Roi James, Sougwen Chung, and Elmgreen & Dragset, among others.
“Every piece celebrated either reflection, or flow, or movement—bringing energy to each space through movement, color or texture and form,” says Marie Soliman.
Throughout, vibrant blues echo the marine environment. Rugs designed by Bergman Design House and manufactured by Colbourns, lighting by Holly Hunt and linens by Oliveri give the feeling of home onboard in the common areas as well as in the six cabins for 12 guests.
Eight months in the making, Asani was designed with a layout that favors both social interaction and personal retreat. For example, the main deck’s open-plan design encourages gatherings, while the full-beam main suite offers a private sanctuary with a balcony and outdoor shower.

“We designed inviting outdoor areas that serve as extensions of the interior, encouraging flow and interaction between the two spaces,” Marie Soliman says.
The Oasis deck offers 270-degree views and fold-out wings that extend the living space directly to the water’s edge.
“At Bergman Design House, we approach each yacht design as a floating masterpiece, where every detail must not only reflect aesthetic beauty but also endure the rigors of marine life,” says Marie Soliman.
“Unlike a residential setting, where space is typically fixed, a yacht demands a meticulous balance of compact layouts and multi-functional areas. The synergy of interior and exterior spaces becomes paramount, as clients seek not just a home on water, but a seamless life experience amidst the waves.”
