Snapchat co-founder Bobby Murphy has purchased a mid-century “architectural gem” in Pacific Palisades for $6 million, complete with show-stopping views of the sea, Palos Verdes Peninsula and Catalina Island from its hillside setting.

According to Variety, the single-story home was built in 1958 and extensively renovated in 1991 by modernist architect and Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Lawrence Bernstein. Expect 4,000-plus square feet of living space accented by blondish hardwood flooring and red brick.

Among the highlights of the five-bedroom, five-bath property: a great room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wet bar with mirrored walls; large formal dining room with fireplace. Cathy Ferraro of Ferraro & Associates held the listing, while Murphy was represented by Tod Stein of Campbell Wellman Properties.
