A Tale of Interiors Illustrates the Decadent and Expressive Interiors of Designers Pierce & Ward

Power duo Pierce & Ward—Louisa Pierce of Nashville and Emily Ward of Los Angeles—have attained cult status on par with the luminaries that populate their client list, from actresses Kate Hudson and Dakota Johnson, to supermodel Karen Elson, to rockers Kings of Leon. With their appeal to highly aesthetic circles firm, the designers have put their singular imprint on a lush new tome.

A Tale of Interiors is based on Pierce & Ward’s idea that every home tells a story. In this case that story is visually rich and born from a kinship between like-minded aesthetes. Creatives with no formal training, mind you, but rather a mutual mastery for fabricating fantasy and tempered decadence.

Teeming with photographs of the designers’ most defining spaces, the book is, like one of their evocative environments, artful and inspired, featuring an imaginative medley of patterns, textures, art and objects—rosary beads draped on lampshades, brass statuary nesting on vintage tables, provocative art pieces, and timeworn textiles.

Paired with Pierce & Ward’s original insights, A Tale of Interiors is more than a beautiful design book, it’s an homage to beauty itself, and to the art of a more maximal point of view. rizzoliusa.com
