Construction has begun on a luxury resort, winery and residential community that’s set to debut in Napa Valley’s Carneros District in spring 2021. The new Stanly Ranch, Auberge Resorts Collection development—situated on 90-plus acres of the historic 712-acre Stanly Ranch property—will include a 135-room resort and spa (complete with cottages that open to patios offering views of the rolling vineyards, towering eucalyptus trees and Mayacamas Mountains); 70 vineyard residences, 40 furnished villas, and a working vineyard and winery.
A “great lawn” in the resort’s center will feature an espresso bar and cycling livery next to a bakery, while an adjacent casual restaurant and bar will serve up a menu showcasing locally-sourced ingredients. Other highlights include a duo of pools, spa and fitness studio, and programs centered around the cultivation and celebration of food and wine. “Stanly Ranch represents a luxury resort community unlike anything that has been developed in California wine country,” says Auberge Resorts Collection CEO Craig Reid. “It will be a world-class destination.”

On Nov. 1, the former Lodge at Koele will assert itself as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ first-ever adults-only wellness retreat. Created with Sensei—the well-being enterprise founded by Larry Ellison and Dr. David Agus—the new Four Seasons Hotel Lanai at Koele, A Sensei Retreat will feature a re-envisioned design by Todd-Avery Lenahan of TAL-Studio, complete with 96 guest rooms and suites; a new Sensei by Nobu dining concept by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa; spa and wellness facilities; and a sculpture garden.
Starting at a minimum of three nights, all-inclusive wellness experiences will include custom itineraries centered around activities such as one-on-one training sessions and group fitness classes, along with onsen-style baths and spa treatments. Also on tap is a yoga pavilion, an adventure park with zipline and rope challenge courses, 18-hole putting course, and more. Says hotel manager Said Haykal: “We feel the Koele Retreat is truly the first time guests have this level of wellness, luxury in hospitality and dining expertise all under one roof, in a location as private and beautiful as Lanai.”
