Partially submerged into the earth, the home’s concrete form blends seamlessly with its environment, using thermal mass, passive design, and net-zero strategies to withstand the desert’s extremes. Thoughtful use of light, water, and native landscaping transforms this challenging site into a meditative sanctuary that honors both the permanence of nature and the transience of the city.
