Two Guns Espresso: Kiwi Coffee Culture

Head to Goat Hill for a dose of coffee from Down Under at Two Guns Espresso

The Goat Hill shopping center got a dose of modernity when two New Zealand natives set up shop in the aging, old western-style building. Andrew “Stan” Stanisich and Craig Oram spruced up the timeworn space making it light and airy, and decided to call it Two Guns Espresso.

For coffee aficionados, Two Guns was a welcome addition to the South Bay, and a strong local following has allowed Stanisich and Oman to expand their footprint from the flagship store at Goat Hill to include an outpost in the Roundhouse at the end of the Manhattan Beach pier, and another located in Downtown L.A.

Their signature drink is the ‘flat white,’ a coffee beverage said to have originated in either Australia or New Zealand (depending on who you ask) in the 1980s.

Simply put, it consists of two shots of espresso covered with velvety steamed milk, or micro-foam, minus the froth. Serving breakfast all day and lunch until 3pm, Two Guns has quickly become a local favorite, churning out authentic coffee drinks with an international touch.
