Live Johnny Depp’s High Life
Actor, producer and musician Johnny Depp is selling a collection of five multilevel penthouses atop Downtown Los Angeles’ landmark Eastern Columbia Building for $12.78 million, in an exclusive off-market listing held by Kevin Dees and Nick Segal, both of Partners Trust.
The penthouses— four two-bedroom units and a one-bedroom unit—are located at 849 S. Broadway, in the 13-story art-deco high-rise most known for its decorative clock tower. Johnny Depp purchased his first penthouse in 2007, shortly after the 1930s Claud Beelman-designed building was renovated by The KOR Group, Killefer Flammang Architects and interior designer Kelly Wearstler.
He went on to acquire the rest of the wing, living in each penthouse separately “like rooms in a home,” according to The Wall Street Journal. Johnny Depp added doorways to connect three units, using those as his living and entertaining space. The other two served as an art studio and a guest suite.
Among the outstanding features are black-and-white checkered flooring, professional chef’s kitchens, and a wall mural by the Brazilian street artists Os Gemeos.
A sprawling community sky deck just mere steps away features a swimming pool, spa, lounging cabanas, and an outdoor fireplace and fitness studio. The units (which total about 11,500 square feet) are available for purchase together or individually, with prices available upon request. An additional three-level penthouse sporting one bedroom and two baths (No. 1212, unrelated to Johnny Depp) also is listed at the Eastern Columbia Building by Kevin Dees for just under $3 million.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Beach Lair
Another A-list star is letting go of his Malibu beach bungalow. Leonardo DiCaprio’s contemporary three-bedroom, two-bath home—at 21844 Pacific Coast Highway, in the elite enclave of Carbon Beach—is listed by Katie Bentzen of Partners Trust Malibu for $10.95 million.
Originally built in 1950, the two-story home has since been remodeled and features 1,765 square feet of open living space.
Among the highlights: a gated entry; light wood floors throughout; exposed beams; an upper-level master suite with a sitting area and balcony; galley kitchen with professional appliances; and private courtyard.
Stellar ocean and coastline views are apparent from almost every room, as well as from a large ocean-side deck boasting a freestanding hot tub, built-in barbecue and stairs to the beach.

Russell Peters’ Posh Pad
Canadian stand-up comedian and actor Russell Peters is selling his two-story ocean-view home in Malibu for $11.95 million. Situated at 27551 Pacific Coast Highway, the completely remodeled and expanded estate features an impressive stairway at the entry, which opens to a formal dining room and a spacious living area with a walk-in bar.
Among the other highlights are eight bedrooms (including a romantic master suite with a fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a bath with his and her vanities, a sauna, dual-head shower and soaking tub offering one of the best views in the house); a gourmet kitchen with a large center island and professional-grade appliances; and a 10-seat home theater.
Outdoors, one will find a pool and spa, fire pit, separate guesthouse, and room for 15-plus cars behind the security gates. The home is listed by Desiree Zuckerman of Rodeo Realty.

Owlwood’s Off the Market
A legendary Holmby Hills estate that has been home to the likes of Sonny and Cher and Tony Curtis, has sold to Sturmer Pippin Investments LLC for $90 million, marking one of the priciest residential sales in L.A. County since 2015.
Found at 141 S. Carolwood Drive, the 10-acre property features a Robert D. Farquhar-designed, Italian Renaissance-style residence built in 1936 that includes 12,200 square feet of living space.
The gated property also offers two guesthouses, a 70-foot pool, a duo of gatehouses, and a sunken tennis court. Ann Dashiell of Douglas Elliman‘s Beverly Hills office was the listing agent, and Adam Rosenfeld of Mercer Vine represented the buyer.
