Robert Duvall got an offer he couldn’t refuse. According to Realtor.com, The Godfather star has sold his West Hollywood two-bedroom, three-bath home for $1.6 million. The property wasn’t the legendary actor’s main residence, however: He also owns a 362-acre farm in The Plains, Virginia, where he spends most of his time. Built in 1924, the 1,065-square-foot home was fully renovated and comes with a guesthouse. The property is “walled, gated, hedged, and extremely private,” according to the listing.
Duvall, who starred opposite Marlon Brando in The Godfather, owned the West Hollywood home for almost ten years. Built in 1924, the 1065-square-foot house has been fully renovated, and is located on a prime street in the Norma Triangle. It is also located behind gates and hedges for extra privacy. Beyond the seclusion, however, sits a front courtyard to welcome guests. The Spanish-style home also boasts hardwood floors, high ceilings, French doors leading into the master bedroom, and an open floor plan. The detached guesthouse includes a third bedroom that could also be turned into a gym or a studio.

With just over 10,000 square feet of living space, and a maximized open concept inverse floor plan, a home of this caliber offers a family-friendly design that’s also ideal for those who enjoy entertaining. With 180 degrees of unobstructed ocean views, along with 25-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that pristinely line both levels of the residence, there’s no question that former New York Giants Super Bowl champion, Antonio Pierce, called this au courant property home.
“As soon as you walk in the door, the place just has that wow factor,” says Jocelyn Pierce, wife of Antonio Pierce and representative of Vista Sotheby’s International Realty. In contrast to the main floor, the downstairs area holds a more intimate living space that includes private bedrooms, an updated home office, a game room, wine cellar, and state-of-the-art gym. All this incentivizes one to stay put. However, the property’s outdoor entertainment area also entices with a vast patio space quintessential for enjoying the awe-inspiring ocean scenery, along with a full-sized regulation tennis court oriented from north to south, and a half basketball court.

“The property is adjacent to the Bird Streets, which has become quite the sought-after neighborhood,” says listing agent Chris Dyson of The Agency. “It sits on approximately 1.25 acres of complete privacy; you can’t see any part of the house from the road (hence the reason so many amazing people have stayed here). Actor, producer and musician Johnny Depp is selling a collection of five multilevel penthouses atop DTLA’s landmark Eastern Columbia Building for $12.78 million, in an exclusive off-market listing held by Kevin Dees and Nick Segal, both of Partners Trust. The penthouses— four two-bedroom units and a one-bedroom unit—are located at 849 S. Broadway, in the 13-story art-deco high-rise most known for its decorative clock tower. Depp purchased his first penthouse in 2007, shortly after the 1930s Claud Beelman-designed building was renovated by The KOR Group, Killefer Flammang Architects and interior designer Kelly Wearstler.
He went on to acquire the rest of the wing, living in each penthouse separately “like rooms in a home,” according to The Wall Street Journal. Depp added doorways to connect three units, using those as his living and entertaining space. The other two served as an art studio and a guest suite. Among the outstanding features: black-and-white checkered flooring, professional chef’s kitchens and a wall mural by the Brazilian street artists Os Gemeos.
A sprawling community sky deck just mere steps away features a swimming pool, spa, lounging cabanas, and an outdoor fireplace and fitness studio. The units (which total about 11,500 square feet) are available for purchase together or individually, with prices available upon request. An additional three-level penthouse sporting one bedroom and two baths (No. 1212, unrelated to Depp) also is listed at the Eastern by Dees for just under $3 million.
