There’s no place like home…especially when it’s a casual beach retreat once owned by icon Judy Garland that’s now on the market for $3.62 million. Situated at 19236 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, the Cape Cod-style property was completely rebuilt in 2013.

Expect 1,728 square feet of living space featuring soaring ceilings, wide white oak flooring and 10-foot tall accordion doors that open to an expansive Ipe wood wraparound deck.

“Every nook and cranny of this home was thoughtfully crafted,” says Russell Grether, who is co-listing the property with Tony Mark, both of Compass.

“Hallway benches are disguised storage units, a wall panel opens to a storage system for the fully hard-wired Sonos surround sound and security system, and the garage has been converted into a multipurpose room with more storage than you can imagine.”

Yet other standout features of the three-bedroom residence: a chef’s kitchen with Viking appliances and marble countertops; a living room boasting a see-through fireplace; and a private entry courtyard with direct beach access.

The former Beverly Hills residence of longtime Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White has entered the market for $47.5 million.

“This home has 14,554 square feet of interior living space spread over eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a gym with a mini-spa and a basement made for entertaining,” says listing agent Mauricio Umansky of The Agency. Found in the exclusive guard-gated community of Beverly Park at 75 Beverly Park Lane—on 5-plus acres rife with lush landscaping and towering palm trees—the Tuscan vineyard estate was built in 1997.

Among the other highlights: a wine cellar with all of the wine produced in the property’s private vineyard; a resort-style pool and spa; and a massive motor court boasting a water fountain and a four-car garage.“One highlight to note is the fine details, including vaulted ceilings, arched windows, floor-to-ceiling French doors and a unique set of iron-clad staircases.”

Sandra Bullock rents out luxury condo in Sierra Towers for $22,000 a month

As previously reported in Variety, Sandra Bullock has made one of the two multi-million dollar condos she owns at the celeb-stacked Sierra Towers complex on the border between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Calif., available as a fully furnished rental at a deep-pocketed rate of $22,000 per month. The Oscar-winning “Blind Side” star, who will appear in next year’s all-female spy heist “Ocean’s 8,” purchased the high-floor unit in early 2014 for $3.35 million.Sierra Towers

Perfectly positioned in the southeast corner of the building with unobstructed, bird’s eye views that on a clear day sweep over Los Angeles from the downtown skyline to the Pacific Ocean, the 1,672-square-foot, two bedroom and three-bathroom aerie was once owned by “Friends” star Matthew Perry who picked it up in the fall of 2011 for $3.2 million and sold it at an eye-popping $350,000 loss, not counting carrying costs, improvement expenses and real estate fees, in the spring of 2005 for $2.85 million.

Balcony with views

The freshly and expensively refurbished unit comprised a sun-flooded combination living and dining room with two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows and glass sliders that open to a slender terrace. The open kitchen was decidedly compact but smartly arranged and handsomely fitted with a mix of walnut and white lacquer cabinetry and a roomy laundry room with walnut built-ins included an under-counter wine fridge. The guest bedroom was fitted with a lengthy, built-in credenza with integrated desk space and the master suite offered a fitted walk-in closet and spa-style bathroom with heated towel racks and an over-sized shower behind a panel of frameless glass.

A modern mansion with interior design work by Lenny Kravitz has hit the market in Hollywood Hills West for $38 million

The Stanley House, the first single-family home project by Lenny Kravitz and his interior design firm, has hit the market for $38 million, according to LA Times.

Rising from a hilltop in Hollywood Hills West, the modern mansion is set on about a third of an acre above the Sunset Strip with city and ocean views.

An artistic staircase connects the three levels of living space, which extend outdoors through terraces and patio space. The 10,700-square-foot house features marble walls, expanses of glass and a lower-level nightclub. Gallery walls display pieces by street and studio artist Retna.

There are five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, including a multi-room master suite.

A 12,000-pound granite boulder was used to create the outdoor fire feature. The circular, 70-foot-wide swimming pool gives the illusion of floating on air. A hydraulic lift opens and closes the “invisible” garage door.

Kravitz served as creative director for the speculative development, introducing exotic wood and stone details while curating the wares and custom furniture. The home is the last work of the late Austin Kelly, who co-founded XTEN Architecture.

Hilton & Hyland agent Branden Williams, who is listed as a manager of the entity that owns the property, sees the project as a marriage of old- and new-school style.

“We searched high and low for interior designers that could give this property such rich soul, and that’s what Lenny and his team created,” Williams said. “When you’re here, you’re not sure what era you’re in. We wanted to keep people guessing.”

Williams shares the listing with his wife, Rayni.

Meghan Markle’s Million-Dollar Toronto Home Sells in a Week

From the outside, it doesn’t look like much.

According to, this relatively modest two-story Toronto home, decked out “like a California bungalow,” is where Meghan Markle lived — and where Prince Harry slept — before the royal couple got engaged last month. Markle rented the home in the tony Seaton Village section of Toronto’s west end for two years. It went on the market earlier this month for around $1.09 million — and sold in less than a week, Canadian press outlets reported. (The price won’t be disclosed until the deal closes.)

“The home is aspirational. A million dollars is expensive, but . . . it’s not like Beyonce’s $88 million home in Bel-Air,” said brokers Dolly and Jenny Lenz. They believe the house was snapped up so quickly because of its relatively reasonable price.

The three-bedroom home comes with an eat-in kitchen, a landscaped garden, a finished basement and a two-car garage. It’s where Markle, an actress, lived for two years while working on the TV show “Suits,” which shoots in Toronto. It’s also where Prince Harry and Markle hung out before announcing their engagement last month.

“It’s a nice thought to think, ‘Wow, Prince Harry used this toilet,’ ” said Daniel Freeman, of Freeman Real Estate, which sold the home, according to Canadian press reports.

Woman of the House

Actress and aesthete Diane Keaton shares her “Dream Home”—and the inspirations behind it—in a ravishing new tome

Whether introducing a new sartorial insouciance through her character’s much-loved wardrobe in Annie Hall, writing memoirs filled with remembrance and ephemera, or restoring home after home, Diane Keaton is a one-of-a-kind style icon with a celebrated artistic sense, a woman so at home with herself that “home” is the subject of a her new book, The House That Pinterest Built (Rizzoli).

Drawing inspiration from an artsy-cool assemblage of pins and palette that she collected via the wondrous digital universe of Pinterest, Keaton set about designing her “Dream Home,” which occupies canyon land on the peripheries of Brentwood. And thank heavens. Because Keaton, a compulsive pinner with an unerring eye and a passion for preservation, architecture and design, outdid even herself with this outrageously beautiful build—her first foray into ground-up construction that proves her equally adept at creating a rich, nuanced character in a home as well as onscreen.

Filled with photos of both Keaton’s abode and the references that inspired its spaces, The House That Pinterest Built is, like its author, delightfully unpredictable—a how-to, a style resource, a visual treasure, but always a glorious treatment, full of fantasy, image and, mostly, a good deal of solid design. As study in Keaton’s sensitive and informed aesthetic, her house is a repetitious tapestry of textures, line, material and décor. Underscoring it all is how Keaton has come to define the meaning of home for herself.

Adam Levine Selling 2 SoCal Mansions Worth a Combined $35M

Adam Levine is unloading two Los Angeles–area mansions with a combined price tag of $35 million. And while celebrity real estate moves aren’t anything new, it’s notable to see a star selling not one, but two homes at the same time. And in an intriguing twist, the Maroon 5frontman purchased one of the homes only a few months ago.

The first home up for sale was Levine’s bachelor pad prior to his marriage with model Behati Prinsloo in July 2014. So it’s no shock Prinsloo isn’t interested in living there. Levine tried to sell the Beverly Hills home for $17.5 million last year, but now it’s priced to move at $15.9 million.

Located in Benedict Canyon, the mansion screams “man cave” with a full basketball court, a killer pool party area, and blue velvet media room. Equipped with a pool table? But, of course.

The house is beautiful, but with all of its hard edges and glass, it’s not exactly kid-friendly for the growing Levine family. The 7,000-square-foot home on a 3.68-acre lot has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Adam Levine's Beverly Hills bachelor pad

The second property up for sale is a Holmby Hills house Levine purchased a few months ago. However, it just might turn a tidy profit for “The Voice” coach.

The house is listed for $18.9 million, about a million more than he paid for the home in August. This 9,000-square-foot stunner on a 1.27-acre lot is a bit more refined than the Beverly Hills bachelor pad and is more family-friendly. It has five bedrooms, 5.5 baths, and golf course views.

Levine bought this Holmby Hills house in August.

Kurt Rappaport, the listing agent for both homes, declined to comment on why the rocker is selling so much real estate at once.

According to TMZ, the new home needs a lot of work and the couple isn’t interested in a remodel on top of a second baby on the way. In September, Prinsloo announced the couple are expecting a sibling for daughter Dusty, who was born in September 2016.

Family Fortress

The gated Studio City home made famous on E! TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians is for sale at $7.895 million

“The stunning architecture and meticulous attention to detail give this property tremendous value when compared with other homes in Beverly Hills and the Westside,” says listing agent Brandon Assanti of Rodeo Realty. “The property alone, with its massive lot size and [total] privacy, is a complete rarity in today’s market at this price point.” Found in the exclusive Fryman Canyon Estates neighborhood at 11947 Iredell St.—on almost an acre of land offering panoramic canyon and mountain views—the 7,843-square-foot, Mediterranean-style residence features seven bedrooms (most notably, an exquisite master suite with a large private patio, dual walk-in closets, a spa-like bath, and private direct access to a saltwater pool and Jacuzzi).

Carson’s Casa

Once home to the king of late-night TV, this oceanfront Malibu estate is on the market for the first time in a decade for $81.5 million, co-listed by Linda May of Hilton & Hyland and Chris Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker Global Luxury. Designed in 1978 by noted architect Ed Niles, the former residence of Johnny Carson can be found on approximately 4 acres atop the bluffs of Pointe Dume, offering panoramic views of the Pacific and coastline as well as access to the beach.

The nearly 11,000-square-foot property is showcased by a double triangle-shaped living room boasting a 30-foot glass ceiling, indoor arboretum (complete with a tree), and sunken copper-and glass fireplace that leads via a spiral staircase to an upper lounge sporting an Asian-inspired bar. Outdoors, lushly landscaped grounds host a waterfall, Koi pond and saltwater pool, as well as a guest house, two-bedroom pavilion, gym, locker room and championship tennis court with viewing area.

Brentwood Estate of the Eagles’ Glenn Frey Lands on Market for $15M

The family estate of Eagles founder and frontman Glenn Frey, who died last year at age 67, has just come on the market in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood for $15 million, according to

Frey and his wife, Cindy Millican Frey, purchased the 8,800-square-foot home in 2002 for $10 million from late TV exec Michael King, who was responsible for launching iconic series such as “Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy,” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

Built in 1996 and described as a “Montecito Spanish Estate” by listing agent David Offer, the home features a red-tile roof, stone and wide-plank wood flooring, arched doorways, thick plaster walls, and rustic wooden ceiling beams.

The open floor plan, well-appointed kitchen with an island, digital media room, and clean lines bring the residence comfortably into the 21st century.

Located in the Brentwood Park area, near the chic stores and restaurants of San Vicente Boulevard, the half-acre property features sweeping lawns, fountains, stone patios, rose gardens, a children’s play area, a cabana, and guesthouse. There’s also a mosaic-tiled pool and spa. There are a total of six bedrooms, seven baths, and four half-baths.

The main residence has an enormous foyer with a staircase with wrought-iron railing. Upstairs, the master suite comes with a sitting room, private balcony, and fireplace for a peaceful, easy feeling. The basement features a large entertainment space with a home theater and bar for serving the perfect tequila sunrise.

The rock legend is survived by his wife and three children. Variety reports that earlier this year Millican Frey purchased a 4,000-square-foot, Cape Cod–style home in the Los Angeles Bird Streets, for which she paid nearly $8 million.

A Star, Reborn

The multitalented musician Beck is selling his Gerard Colcord-designed home in Mandeville Canyon for $3.75 million

The Grammy winner purchased the Tudor-style property in 2016, and together with Pam Shamshiri of Commune, has since restored and enhanced the 1964 residence inside and out. Among the highlights of the 2,620-square-foot, three-bedroom abode: hand-hewn beams, massive windows and French doors throughout, and a studio perched above the detached garage. Outdoors, one will find an almost 1-acre lot featuring a secluded walking trail and extensive landscape design.

Beck reportedly bought the home from James Mangold and Cathy Konrad. Mangold co-wrote the award-winning film Walk the Line, which Konrad produced. The listing agents are Richard Stearns and Carrie Berkman Lewis of Partners Trust.
