Take A Closer Look at Grandview Elementary in Manhattan Beach
GRANDVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN TOP SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFERS BEST EDUCATION FOR YOUR REAL ESTATE DOLLAR IN THE SAND SECTION OF MANHATTAN BEACH Grandview Elementary, home of the Gators, is located in the north end of what is known as The Sand Section at 455 24th Street in Manhattan Beach. The boundaries for this school start at Rosecrans Ave to the north and ends at Valley Dr to the South East, cutting off at Manhattan Beach Blvd at its Southern-most area. The school services Sand Section homes located north of the pier and a portion of the Tree Section. The school was named for the “Grand View” that was once offered from its location at the top of a hill, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The school has an average enrollment of 450 students and 30 teachers and administrative staff members. Year over year this school is often ranked a 10 of 10 in the Statewide ranking system, and API scores consistently record in the mid-to-high 900s. The school is part of the Manhattan Beach Unified School District which is largely supported and supplemented by the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation as well as a very active and hands on PTA. Grandview parents proudly display their school spirit by supporting the largely successful Student Store. The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation is a local program dedicated to keeping class size small and preserving the jobs of our excellent educators. They are fundamental in raising millions of dollars to supplement the lack of funding for advanced programs within the schools. It is largely because of the work of the Ed Foundation and the dedication of the parents in our community that our Manhattan Beach schools remain some of the top in the nation for public education. Homeowners in Manhattan Beach enjoy the proximity of the school, which is within walking distance of most homes within the school’s boundaries. The Grandview Elementary Walking School Bus increases student safety and reduces traffic around the school while encouraging health and exercise. Students also enjoy the very popular Hands On Art program, which is a huge success in our Manhattan Beach community. Because our schools are so sought after, homes in this area are in high demand, and this is only one of the reasons why Manhattan Beach real estate is such a great investment.
