Natureba Brazilian Juice Bar has become a favorite among health-conscious South Bay snackers

In Brazil, the word ‘natureba’ roughly translates to someone who likes to live as close to nature as possible. This would ostensibly include dietary choices, so Natureba Brazilian Juice Bar is a most fitting name for the funky, island-themed hut that sits on Artesia Boulevard in Redondo Beach, which churns out fresh smoothies, super-charged acai bowls and Brazilian snacks like cheese bread and coxhinas (chicken croquettes) to a loyal league of followers.

Smoothie lovers can choose to build their own fruit or vegetable medley or select from a house special: The Funky Monkey is a creamy blend of peanut butter, banana and vanilla protein that’s a favorite among fitness types, while the Anti-Ox Smoothie, powered with acai berries and guarana fruit— considered a natural stimulant, containing more caffeine than the coffee bean—is a refreshing way to recharge.

Natureba’s acai bowls also get the raves, due to the silky texture of the acai against the crumbly granola, and the heap of fresh berries and fluffy coconut flakes that’s stacked on top.
